Drawing on an impressive 38-year career in public education, I have cultivated a deep understanding of diverse learning environments, having served as both a teacher and administrator across middle schools, high schools, alternative schools, and charter institutions. My leadership journey includes 26 years as a principal in Prince George's County, Maryland, a vibrant community just outside Washington, D.C. I currently lead as the high school principal at College Park Academy, a unique charter school where I work hand-in-hand with the middle school principal. Our shared vision centers on empowering staff to build authentic, positive relationships with every student, recognizing this as the cornerstone for fostering significant academic growth. A strong advocate for innovative pedagogy, I spearhead comprehensive professional development initiatives focused on blended learning, adeptly combining cutting-edge virtual platforms with impactful in-person teaching, all while fostering a pivotal partnership with the esteemed University of Maryland.
