Join MSDE content specialists Tim Guy and Erika McCrea as they provide information on the current status of the Maryland Assessment Program and intended upcoming changes that can affect our secondary schools. 

By the end of the session, administrators will be able to: 

*Describe the key changes associated with Maryland's transition from the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP) to the Maryland System of Testing Academic Readiness (MSTAR), including enhancements to assessment design, reporting, and administration beginning in the 2026–2027 school year. 

*Identify the resources, timelines, and supports available from MSDE to help district and school leaders effectively prepare educators, students, and families for the MSTAR transition.
